Here are the available races. If you have any questions, please ask me (Willow).
Vampire:
Traditional: The typical blood suckers here. Their images cannot be captured on video or camera can't be seen in mirrors, etc. Human blood is a necessity to survival yet is able to walk days or weeks without it. They stalk the night strictly and cannot be exposed to UV rays (sunlight). Additionally, they have an ice cold touch and are often as pale as the moon they walk under. They usually appear as the average humans do, unless they are aroused by bloodlust or enraged. In such cases, the appearance of two, canine-like fangs may be seen; accompanied by red eyes.
Psychic: These vampires don't need blood whatsoever and in all honesty have no effect from/by it. They feed solely off another’s energy, vitality, soul, etc. They may walk the day, though aren't too inclined to do so. Don't be afraid to add things here or there here as well. It might also help to research more on this type. "Psychic vampires often discuss methods of finding energy sources and "feeding" reliably and harmlessly, and these methods vary to a high degree. There are psychic vampires who "feed" during sex, those who "feed" on large crowds, those who draw energy from the natural world and visit parks or wilderness when "hungry", and those who "feed" by finding people in highly energized states and either calming or further provoking them." [Information from Monstrous]
Tune: The capability of them is to lure in people with their music-enhanced voices. Like singing and talking, for example. A Tune Vampire’s mind attack is when they scream through your mind. It could be a song, or even something you cannot understand. Either way, it hurts for you. But be aware, they can return that mind attack back to you just as quickly. Music and Mind is them. Tune Vampires are capable to heal within around three minutes can know people’s names quickly, can see an aura (how much energy one has; it’s like what level one is type of thing), have faster movement than normal vampires, and can also breed and birth. But they are not able to turn others.
Tune Vampires feed similar to Sirens, but instead of only one gender, they lure in all genders. They do not bite at the neck. They bite where their censors tell them. Where ever the blood on the victim is pumped the most is where they go after. They can't drain them; therefore they can’t kill their victims. The blood in the victims replenish themselves in 24 hours. So they are as good as new. But they never bite the same one twice, and they despise Lycans. A Tune Vampire’s only weaknesses are sunlight and the Star of David. Their only strengths are Crosses and metal.
Werewolves:
These beasts are strictly confined to the night. They cannot change during the day nor when wished; they're slaves to the moon. When they do transform, they usually cannot control their hunger or strength. Typically they'll go on an uncontrollable rampage wherever they are until either the moon or their hunger subsides. They have exceptional strength, speed, and all five senses are extremely heightened.
Lycans:
They possess enhanced strength, speed, durability and regenerative abilities superior to that of most vampires in their Lycan form, and equal and or greater than in their human forms. As with wolves, Lycans also possess superior tracking skills, a highly sensitive sense of smell and are able to sense Vampires in close proximity to themselves. Similar to vampires, Lycans have the ability to easily survive falls from great altitudes by landing on their feet.
Their bite releases the Lycan virus, which can aggressively overtake a normal human's physiology, causing them to become a Lycan as well.
The difference between Lycans and werewolves is that Lycans can change into their werewolf form whenever they choose, (except newly turned Lycans that need the light of the full moon). [Information from Wikipedia]
Human:
Regular people; no super enhanced abilities. Think we all can gather the lengths, strengths and weaknesses of humans.
Necromancers:
Humans that are able to summon the undead. [Research for more information]
Demons:
Contrary to popular belief and pictures, demons aren't scrawny red misfit Gollums running around with horns or a forked tail. They may look similar to human beings and usually do to trick the unaware and/or simple minded. However, their temperature seems to be on permanent sky-rocket. They may have a slight flush to their skin, as if they've contracted a minor sunburn. At times their features may become distorted depending on where they are and their moods.
Shapeshifter:
These rare creatures may morph into just about any animal they please. They often give off a rather serene aura, for they're one with nature and all its elements/attributes. Lastly, nature’s elements seem to reflect their mood. If one is upset or angry, expect high winds occasionally accompanied by a dry thunderstorm. Sad; rain, bleak clouds, gloomy day; etc. (If you choose this, for now you're only allowed to transform into 3 animals. Choose wisely!)
*Side note - While you're slightly able to control the elements I don't want to see massive F5 tornadoes suddenly whirling around or great flash floods or sudden tsunamis. You aren't that powerful. However, during thunderstorms lightning may strike the ground, foliage, or other things occasionally, and if its the right set of winds (as in hot and cold fronts) clashing then minor tornadoes may occur, etc.
Nekos:
Humans with cat like features and abilities. They may or may not have cat ears and/or tail. However they're extremely agile, lithe, quick on their feet, and have a slightly delicate structure. They have excellent hearing, balance, and are sensitive to certain emotions/auras/demeanor's. They also seem to be very picky about their appearance and don't like their feet touched.
Faeries:
Faeries - a term used to describe many sub-species of ethereal creatures from the "land of Faery" which is intertwined in our world. They find humans greatly amusing and can sometimes be envious of them. They are attracted to music and beauty- basically any kind of talent belonging to a human. They sometimes steal humans away for themselves, to keep them forever in their realm. Most like to stay in our world and play freely with the inhabitants of mortals and immortals alike. Faeries can also use a power called "Faerie Glamour" which conceals their true form, whether they make an illusion to make themselves look ugly, or beautiful in order to try to hide their true selves from human eyes. They can give the gift of Sight to a human they are fond of, by kissing their eyes.
Elves:
Elves are commonly known by their pointy ears. But they’re height ranges like humans’ does. Elves are graceful and quick acting. They are usually attuned to nature, like woods or rivers. But they can also be attuned to more technologically advanced places, but this is much rarer. Elves have one to two abilities depending on how they are raised. Elves raised in the woods might be able to talk to the animals and/or revive dead plants. Elves raised in, or close by, rivers may be able to control water, or the flow of water.
Hybrids:
Hybrids are a mix of two different races. They share qualities of both races, sometimes altered depending on the races.
*Side note - If you are a Hybrid, in the race part of your profile, name the two different races that makes you a Hybrid.
